Quad/Graphics Profit Falls On Expenses

(RTTNews) - Quad/Graphics Inc (QUAD), a provider of print and related products, on Monday reported fourth-quarter net earnings to equity holders of $25.8 million or $0.53 per share compared with $60.7 million or $1.24 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.96 per share compared with $1.18 per share a year ago.

The company's sales for the quarter were $1.42 billion, an increase of 5.5 percent from $1.35 billion a year ago, driven by the Brown Printing acquisition.

Results were hurt by operating expenses that were higher by about $100 million compared with last year, and income tax expense rose by about $6 million, the company said.

For the full year 2015, the company expects sales of $4.8 billion to $5 billion.
