Principal Financial Names Daniel Houston COO - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - The Principal Financial Group (PFG) announced that it has named Daniel Houston president and chief operating officer or COO, effective immediately.

The company said Houston will oversee all global businesses including Principal Global Investors, Principal International, Retirement and Investor Services, and U.S. Insurance Solutions.

In addition, the company also elected Houston to the Board of Directors and said that Larry Zimpleman will continue as chairman and chief executive officer.

Commenting on Houston, Principal Financial said he joined the company in 1984 as a sales representative in the group and pension office. From there, he held a number of management positions in the company.
