PRIMEDIA Names Ira Gabriel Publisher of MOTOR TREND
Mr. Gabriel's experience in the automotive industry spans nearlytwo decades. He will leverage this expertise to further MOTOR TREND asa leading global brand, working to create integrated marketingprograms for both endemic and non-endemic advertisers alongsiderecently appointed AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE publisher, Brad Gerber. BothMr. Gabriel and Mr. Gerber report directly to Steve Parr, senior vicepresident of PRIMEDIA and president of PRIMEDIA Automotive.
"During Ira's 18-year career at PRIMEDIA he managed initiativesresulting in tremendous brand equity for some of the industry's mostvenerable automotive publications," said Parr. "We are fortunate tobenefit from his leadership, experience and reputation in theindustry."
Mr. Gabriel joins MOTOR TREND on the heels of a significantredesign program led by internationally acclaimed automotiveeditor-in-chief, Angus MacKenzie.

Mr. Gabriel has held various executive positions at PRIMEDIA. Hebegan his career in publishing at Petersen (now part of PRIMEDIA) in1988 and went on to launch more than 20 automotive-branded websites.In 2001, he was named publisher of Hot Rod Magazine, one of PRIMEDIA'sflagship performance automotive titles. While at Hot Rod, Mr. Gabrielwas responsible for the tremendous growth of the brand's franchisethat includes the development of Hot Rod TV, www.hotrod.com, the HotRod Power Tour, and a range of Hot Rod-branded licensed products. Mostrecently, Mr. Gabriel served as vice president of Sales and Marketingfor the Performance Automotive Group, where he successfully managedthe Group's National Account Managers.
