(RTTNews) - Precision Drilling Corp. (PD.TO, PDS) reported a fourth-quarter net loss of C$114.04 million or C$0.39 per share, compared to net earnings of C$67.92 million or C$0.24 per share in the prior-year quarter.

On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of C$0.23 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue for the quarter improved 9.1 percent to C$618.53 million from C$566.91 million in the same quarter last year. Analysts expected revenues of C$625.86 million.
