Pre-market Movers For Sept 17 (MSFT, KYTH, DNDN, OUTR, ECTY)

(RTTNews) - Gainers:

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) is up over 2 percent to $33.63. The company raised its quarterly dividend by 22 percent to $0.28. The company's board also approved a new share repurchase program authorizing up to $40 billion in share repurchases.

Kythera Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (KYTH) is jumping 27 percent to $42.83. The company announced that its ATX-101 REFINE-1 and REFINE-2 Phase III trials met all primary and secondary endpoints. The two pivotal Phase III trials were conducted in the U.S. and Canada to compare the efficacy and safety of a 2 mg/cm2 dose of ATX-101 versus placebo for the reduction of submental fat, which commonly presents as a double chin.

Dendreon Corp. (DNDN) is rising 17 percent to $3.49. The company announced that the European Commission has granted marketing authorization for PROVENGE dispersion for infusion in the European Union for the treatment of asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic metastatic (non-visceral) castrate resistant prostate cancer in male adults for whom chemotherapy is not yet clinically indicated.

Decliners:

Outerwall Inc. (OUTR) is down 15 percent to $47.25. The company slashed its outlook for the third quarter and full year, citing less-than-expected growth at its Redbox segment and intense discount activity.

Trading halt:

Trading in shares of ECOtality, Inc. (ECTY) was halted.
