    Plumtree Software (Nasdaq:PLUM) today announced the general availability of Plumtree Analytics Server, a new product that delivers real-time reporting on portal activity and content usage. As portal deployments become more sophisticated and complex, portal administrators and community owners can use Analytics Server to effectively assess how portal applications and information are being used across the enterprise. By tracking community traffic, portlet traffic, response times and usage behavior, companies gain improved visibility for their portal development and deployment planning, and can more effectively prioritize administrative resources. As a result, Plumtree customers can increase portal ROI, reduce infrastructure costs and improve employee, customer and partner satisfaction.
    Customers using Analytics Server benefit from more complete integration with the portal and easier installation at a lower price point than other Web analytic products. Traditional Web Analytics software tends to aggregate information about application server behavior from batched, historical log files. Analytics Server, in comparison, takes a different approach, using lightweight, plug-in filters at multiple tiers of the portal architecture to report information to the Analytics Server database in real-time resulting in deeper, more accurate and instant system activity information.
