Planar Names John Major Vice President, Global Operations and Supply Chain

Planar Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLNR), a worldwide leader in specialty display solutions, announced today that John Major has joined the company as vice president, global operations and supply chain. Major will be responsible for all global manufacturing, quality, customer service, and supply chain operations for Planar. He replaces John J. Ehren, who is leaving Planar to pursue a new professional opportunity. Major was most recently Vice President Global Supply Chain and World Wide Manufacturing Operations for Tektronix Inc. Major’s experience includes senior leadership roles in Customer Service and Manufacturing at both Xerox and Tektronix, and Manufacturing Operations and Engineering Management at Digital Equipment Corporation.
