Pivotal Software Posting Strong Gain On Better Than Expected Q3 Results

(RTTNews) - Shares of Pivotal Software, Inc. (PVTL) continue to see significant strength in afternoon trading on Wednesday after an early move to the upside. After reaching its best intraday level in a month, Pivotal is currently up by 6.9 percent.

The early advance by Pivotal came after the software and services company reported a narrower than expected fiscal third quarter loss on revenues that exceeded analyst estimates.

Pivotal reported an adjusted third quarter loss of $0.05 per share on revenues of $168.1 million, while analysts had expected the company to report a loss of $0.08 per share on revenues of $164.1 million.
