Perot Systems Adds John Hummel to Growing Clinical Transformation Practice

PLANO, Texas, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Perot Systems Corporation today announced that John Hummel has joined the company as national director of its Clinical Solutions Center.

In this new position, Perot Systems will look to Mr. Hummel to provide clinical information system and hospital information technology leadership that will further strengthen the company's implementation and transformation delivery capabilities, and ensure that best practices and methodologies are consistently replicated.

Mr. Hummel will be responsible for enhancing and accelerating the Solutions Center's delivery capabilities through process design and installation optimization of the industry's leading clinical vendors. In addition, he will oversee a myriad of content including system implementations, infrastructure and integration, decision support, and data warehouses for Perot Systems' large and complex healthcare system customers.

Mr. Hummel joins Perot Systems from Sacramento, California-based Sutter Health, where as senior vice president of Information Services, he oversaw the systems' business and clinical transformation. Mr. Hummel's award-winning career spans nearly 30 years of national and international healthcare venues, as well as numerous leadership positions. He is a veteran of the United States Navy and holds a Bachelors of Science degree from California College of Health Sciences.
