Pericom Semiconductor Announces 60% Advance In Q1 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Pericom Semiconductor (PSEM) reported a profit for its first quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $5.95 million, or $0.26 per share. This was up from $3.72 million, or $0.16 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.19 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 5.1% to $31.57 million. This was down from $33.26 million last year.
