Pellet Grill Industry Founder Joins Leading Grill Company

PHOENIX, Sept. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Dansons, USA is proud to announce the original founder of the pellet grill, Joe Traeger, has joined the Thiessen family at Dansons to elevate its industry leading Pit Boss and Louisiana Grills brands and products. In this partnership, Traeger will be developing new pellet grilling products alongside Dansons founder and pellet grill innovator, Dan Thiessen. 

Raised by an inventor father, Joe proceeded down his own path of innovation developing the first pellet grill to market. Traeger, a longtime grilling enthusiast, was inspired to create a new grilling experience after a friend shared a bucket of wood pellets. This bucket of wood pellets inspired Joe's original innovation and the first pellet grill was born in 1983 in the signature Traeger barn, which still sits as a landmark in Mount Angel, Oregon.
