The recent announcement of a fall tour has created much excitement among the band's many followers.  The group will tour across the United States and will also perform two concerts in Canada, one in Calgary on December 2 and one in Vancouver on December 4.  In the United States, a number of concerts are set for major cities across the map.  Two shows will take place in the following locations:  Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York; Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.  In the remaining U.S. markets, one show is set for each location, and these destinations include Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Worcester, Hartford, Baltimore, Charlottesville, Charlotte, New Orleans, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Phoenix, San Diego, Oakland, Portland, Spokane, and Seattle. 

Pearl Jam tickets are likely to sell out to eager fans who have been waiting for an opportunity to attend a live concert.  The band has released nine albums since 1991, and more than 60 million copies have sold around the world.  Fans have enjoyed listening to the group perform a variety of music genres that include alternative rock, hard rock, and grunge.  The group has claimed 11 awards, including four MTV Video Music Awards, one Esky Music Award, five American Music Awards, and one Grammy.  The band has been recognized as one of the most influential alternative rock groups of the 1990s. 

Presale tickets for the fall tour are set to become available on July 13, and regular sales to the general public will begin on July 27.  Concertgoers will be acquiring their seats for a future show as soon as tickets become available, and entertainment venues may well be booked solid for all of the shows planned for the United States and Canada.  The band is also scheduled to perform at Wrigley Field in Chicago on July 19.
