Panasonic To Form Household Solar Power JV With Epuko - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Japanese consumer electronics giant Panasonic Corp. (PCRFY) Tuesday announced that the company entered into a shareholders' agreement with Epuko Ltd. to form a joint venture related to household solar power aggregation business.

The trade name of the joint venture will be Panasonic Epuko Energy Service Co. Ltd. and the formation will be effective January 31. The amount of investment will be 300 million yen in the joint venture.

Panasonic said it will hold 51 percent of the joint venture, while the remaining 49 percent will be held by Epuko.

The Joint venture will have business objectives of contract number of more than 500 thousand housing unit of solar power system installation in 2018.
