Owens Corning Reveals 67% Increase In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - Owens Corning (OC) reported a profit for its second quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $150 million, or $1.29 per share. This was higher than $90 million, or $0.76 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.86 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 10.7% to $1.55 billion. This was up from $1.40 billion last year.
