Owens Corning Profit Climbs 11% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Owens Corning (OC) announced earnings for its third quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $125 million, or $1.09 per share. This was up from $113 million, or $0.96 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.99 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 4.8% to $1.52 billion. This was up from $1.45 billion last year.
