Owens Corning Bottom Line Climbs 55% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Owens Corning (OC) announced a profit for its third quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $113 million, or $0.96 per share. This was up from $73 million, or $0.62 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.68 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 5.8% to $1.46 billion. This was up from $1.38 billion last year.
