Ordina bolsters services for public sector

Nieuwegein, the Netherlands, 9 May 2014

Ordina will in the future provide its consulting services via specialist units, as part of its ongoing efforts to improve its services to the public sector. Based on its mission 'Partnerships in Sustainable Innovation', Ordina wants to play a leading role in the digitisation of the public sector. However, this process of digitisation requires increasing levels of specialist expertise from IT suppliers. Ordina has therefore begun to develop specialist units focusing on a number of topics, such as social communities, customer experience, mobile, chain integration, privacy and security.

"There is growing interest in these topics, despite the budget cuts in the public sector," says Rob Smeets, Managing Partner at Ordina Consulting. "We have extensive experience in these fields in other sectors and we want to translate that experience for use in public sector applications."

Ordina also plans to launch a contest this year for innovative IT solutions for  the public sector. The company will make an IT development budget available for the best idea.

As a result of the transition to specialist units, Ordina is dismantling its current business unit Ordina Consulting Public. The remaining 23 jobs will cease to exist.
