Novartis Reportedly Considers Deal For Advanced Accelerator Applications

(RTTNews) - Novartis AG (NVS) is considering a deal for Advanced Accelerator Applications S.A. (AAAP), Bloomberg reported citing people familiar with the matter.

Novartis has approached Advanced Accelerator Applications or AAA about a deal and held talks. AAA could also attract interest from other drugmakers. No deal has been reached and talks may fall apart, the report said.

AAA makes radiopharmaceuticals, or radioactive drugs, used to diagnose and treat diseases such as cancer.

AAAP closed Wednesday's regular trading at $59.76, up $1.46 or 2.50 percent. In the after-hours, the stock further gained $5.74 or 9.61%.
