Neogen Q2 Profit Increases - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Neogen Corp.(NEOG) reported that its net income attributable to the company for the second quarter of fiscal 2015 increased 26% to $7.81 million from the prior year's $6.21 million. Earnings per share in the latest-quarter were $0.21, compared to $0.17 a year ago.

Revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2015 increased 15% to $68.46 million, from the previous year's second quarter revenues of $59.60 million. This increase was aided in part by recent acquisitions completed by the company. The quarterly revenue and net income results represent second quarter records for the 32-year-old company.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.22 per share and revenues of $69.77 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
