NCR Q3 Adj. Profit Tops View; Backs FY13 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Technology and services company NCR Corp. (NCR) Thursday reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $98 million or $0.58 per share, compared to $87 million or $0.53 per share last year.

Excluding pension and special items, non-GAAP income from continuing operations in the third quarter of 2013 was $185 million, or $0.76 per share, compared to $153 million, or $0.64 per share in the prior year period.

Revenues for the quarter were higher at $1.51 billion, compared with $1.44 billion in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.68 per share on revenues of $1.58 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking ahead to the fiscal year 2013, NCR continues to expect earnings of $2.08 to $2.18 per share, adjusted earnings of $2.70 to $2.80 per share, and revenue growth of 9% to 11% on a constant currency basis. Analysts expect earnings of $2.75 per share on revenue growth of 10.20%.
