NCI Building Systems Q3 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - NCI Building Systems Inc. (NCS) reported third-quarter net income applicable to common shares of $12.2 million, or $0.19 per share, narrower than $52.1 million, or $2.74 per share, in the prior year quarter.

Adjusted net income applicable to common shares was $1.0 million, or $0.02 per share, compared to $923 million or $0.05 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Sales for the latest third quarter grew 6.3% to $317.20 million from $298.49 million last year, mainly due to the full quarter contribution from the company's June 2012 Metl-Span acquisition.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.03 per share on revenues of $351.43 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
