National Fuel Gas Q1 Profit Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - National Fuel Gas Company (NFG) Thursday reported first-quarter profit of $82.3 million or $0.97 per share, up from $67.9 million or $0.81 per share in the same period last year.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.86 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Operating revenues increased to $550.07 million from $452.85 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $507.11 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal year 2014, the company has raised its earnings outlook to a range of $3.20 to $3.40 per share from its previous guidance range of $3.10 to $3.40 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $3.29 per share.
