National Fuel Gas Co, Q2 Profit Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - National Fuel Gas Company (NFG) Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $95.2 million or $1.12 per share, up from $85.7 million or $1.02 per share in the same period last year.

On average, 10 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.13 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Operating revenues increased to $756.24 million from $597.83 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $679.90 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal 2014, the company has increased its earnings outlook to a range of $3.40 to $3.55 per share from its previous guidance range of $3.20 to $3.40 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $3.43 per share.
