MYOS Corp. Initiates Clinical Trial On Fortetropin For Dose Opportunities

(RTTNews) - Biotherapeutics and bionutrition company MYOS Corp. (MYOS) Monday announced the initiation of dose response study of Fortetropin supplementation in modestly resistance trained subjects. The study will find the effects of the compound on plasma myostatin levels at various dosing levels in comparison with placebo.

The double blind placebo controlled study will randomize 80 subjects to four groups who will be supplemented with three different doses of Fortetropin and a matching placebo.

Fortetropin is a natural myostatin modulator to enhance muscle growth. The company expects formulation opportunities for the compound expecting that lowering dosing levels will allow formulation of new products and modes of delivery.
