Motorola Solutions Q3 EPS Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Communications equipment maker Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI) posted a one percent decline in third-quarter 2013 GAAP operating earnings to $320 million, from $324 million, while GAAP earnings per share grew 61% to $1.16, from $0.72 in the 2012 third quarter. On a non-GAAP basis, operating earnings totaled $397 million, up 3% from last year's $387 million, with non-GAAP earnings per share for the latest period amounting to $1.32.

Sales of $2.11 billion, were down by 2 percent from $2.15 billion reported a year earlier. Government sales fell 4 percent, while Enterprise sales improved by 2 percent.

For 2013, the company's outlook is for revenues to be nearly flat compared with full-year 2012 and non-GAAP earnings per share from continuing operations of $4.63 - $4.70. Analysts project earnings of $4.43 per share in 2013.
