Morgan Stanley Names Jonathan Pruzan CFO
(RTTNews) - Morgan Stanley (MS) disclosed in a regulatory filing that Ruth Porat, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company, would leave the Company on April 30, 2015. The company noted that Jonathan Pruzan, currently Co-Head of the Global Financial Institutions Group in Investment Banking, will be appointed Chief Financial Officer upon Ruth's departure.
Jon joined Morgan Stanley in 1994 and has spent more than 20 years at the Firm working with financial institution clients. Jon has served on the Morgan Stanley/MUFG steering committee since 2013 and will continue to do so. He will join the Firm's Operating Committee and Management Committee.
After a 28-year career at Morgan Stanley, Ruth Porat has decided to leave the Firm to take on a new role in Silicon Valley and return to her California roots.
Separately, Google Inc. (GOOG) announced that it has appointed Ruth Porat, who is currently Chief Financial Officer at Morgan Stanley, as its Chief Financial Officer. Ruth will start at Google as CFO on May 26, reporting to Google CEO and Co-Founder, Larry Page.
