Millicom FY14 Pretax Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Millicom International Cellular S.A. (MICC, MIICF.PK) reported fiscal 2014 profit before taxes from continuing operations of $3.04 billion, compared to $450 million, a year ago. Profit to owners of the company rose to $2.64 billion from $229 million. Earnings per share was $26.42, compared to $2.30. Adjusted earnings per share was $1.82, for the year.

EBITDA was $2.09 billion, compared to $2.00 billion, a year ago. Excluding UNE, EBITDA was $1.96 billion, for the year.

Revenue increased 14.9% to $6.39 billion from $5.08 billion. Excluding UNE, Group revenue were $5.89 billion - organic growth of 9.4%.

For 2015, Millicom expects: revenue between $7.1 and $7.5 billion; and EBITDA between $2.20 and $2.35 billion.

The Board of Millicom said it will propose to the AGM, the payment of a 2014 ordinary dividend of $2.64 per share. The company reiterated dividend policy for no less than $2 per share, and at least 30% of adjusted net profit.
