Microwave Vision Launches a New Product: the RF-SnifferPRO, An Electromagnetic Wave Detector for Professionals

In response to the risk that some workers may be overexposed to electromagnetic waves, the MICROWAVE VISION Group (Paris: ALMIC), a specialist in electromagnetic waves, has launched a portable tool - the RF-SnifferPRO. The RF-SnifferPRO constantly scans for electromagnetic waves and, via its built-in alarm and visual system, alerts users whenever the acceptable limits have been exceeded. This tool is extremely easy to use and creates a safer working environment in the areas of installation and maintenance.

Exposure in the workplace

The Microwave Vision Group, world leader in test systems and antenna measurement, has made major strides in its research and development to design reliable, simple and essential measuring products.
Unparalleled on the market, the RF-SnifferPRO benefits from all existing technical advantages befitting of a leader in electromagnetic wave measurement.

It is already available for pre-order and will be ready for delivery by June 2013.

Along with telecommunication networks, antennas are now an indelible part of our environment. Workers who are in permanent contact with this equipment either for installation or maintenance purposes may be exposed to above-average levels depending on the type of antenna and proximity (radio, TV and cellphone antennas, etc.).

An innovative health and safety measure

The RF-SnifferPRO is a portable monitoring device which:

  • measures levels of exposure to surrounding electromagnetic fields using a tri-axis isotropic sensor
  • displays the exposure level in real time via a LED color scale
  • gives a signal both visually and via an alarm system whenever acceptable limits are exceeded.

Its design and ergonomics have made it especially easy to use.
It is extremely light and robust, and requires no adjustment on the part of the user.
You won’t notice it’s there – until levels get too high, that is...
