MicroStrategy Q4 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - MicroStrategy Inc. (MSTR) reported that its fourth quarter net income rose to $16.1 million or $1.43 per share from $8.2 million or $0.73 per share in the year-ago quarter.

Income from continuing operations was $18.5 million, up 35 percent from $13.7 million in the previous year quarter. Non-GAAP income from continuing operations, which excludes share-based compensation expense, was $20.2 million, 47 percent higher than the $13.7 million a year earlier.

Quarterly revenues increased 6 percent to $165.9 million from $156.0 million in the prior year quarter. Product licenses and subscription services revenues were $58.8 million versus $48.1 million last year, a 22 percent increase while product support revenues rose 5 percent to $72.5 million from $68.8 million a year earlier whereas other services revenues declined 12 percent to $34.6 million from $39.1 million a year ago.

Analyst polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.10 per share on revenue of $162.31 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
