MicroStrategy Q3 Profit Surges

(RTTNews) - MicroStrategy Inc. (MSTR) reported net income for the third quarter of $17.1 million, or $1.52 per share, compared to $4.8 million, or $0.43 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Adjusted income from continuing operations, which excludes share-based compensation expense, was $12.1 million for the third quarter, compared to $7.3 million for the third quarter of last year.

Third quarter revenues increased 4% to $141.9 million from $136.1 million a year ago.

Analyst polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.22 per share on revenue of $143.75 million for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
