Methanex Prices Two Offerings Of Senior Notes

(RTTNews) - Methanex Corporation (MX.TO, MEOH) Thursday said it priced two offerings of senior unsecured notes. Methanex will issue $300 million in aggregate principal amount of 4.25% senior notes due December 1, 2024 and $300 million in aggregate principal amount of 5.65% senior notes due December 1, 2044.

Methanex expects to use the net proceeds from the offerings primarily for the repayment of existing indebtedness, which may include the repayment of its 6.00% senior notes due August 1, 2015 of which $150 million is outstanding, repayment of limited recourse debt facilities, capital expenditures related to plants under construction, capital expenditures related to maintenance of its facilities and working capital purposes.
