mediabistro.com Announces Mediabistro Circus, May 20-21 in New York--a Two-Day Summit on the Digital Tools and Trends Changing Media
mediabistro.com (www.mediabistro.com),
a division of Jupitermedia Corporation, (Nasdaq: JUPM), today announced
its first "conference," the Mediabistro Circus (www.mediabistrocircus.com),
to be held at Skylight Studios in New York City on May 20-21, 2008.
The Mediabistro Circus is a two-day summit on technology and the
critical platforms changing the flow of media. It is an unconventional
gathering of creative content producers geared toward senior-level
professionals. Topics include mobile technology, online video, social
networking, blogging, digital publishing and user experience design.
"Most conferences are dry and boring. That's why we're calling ours a
circus," said mediabistro.com founder Laurel Touby. "There
will be no deadly panel discussions, rehashed conference fodder, or
self-congratulatory case studies. Instead, a roster of Internet rock
stars will present fresh takes on topics crucial to their businesses,”
added Touby.
The event will mix big ideas with back-end practicalities. Short breaks
between sessions will feature interactive demonstrations that make the
business case for new tools and technologies.
Mediabistro Circus Speakers (additional participants to be
announced)--
Nicholas Carr writes and speaks on technology, business, and
culture. His new book, The Big Switch: Rewiring the World, from
