MB Financial Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - MB Financial Inc (MBFI) on Thursday reported second-quarter net income to common stockholders of $39 million or $0.52 per share, compared to $23.1 million or $0.42 per share last year.

Operating earnings were $0.53 per share, compared to $0.43 per share a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.52 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net interest income rose to $114.5 million from $68 million last year.

Analysts estimated revenues of $119.2 million for the quarter.

Non interest income rose to $82.9 million from $32.9 million last year.
