Manhattan Associates Q3 Profit Tops View; Lifts FY13 Earnings Outlook

(RTTNews) - Manhattan Associates Inc. (MANH) posted third-quarter GAAP net income of $19.7 million, or $1.02 per share, compared to $13.8 million or $0.69 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $20.4 million or $1.05 per share, up from $15.2 million or $0.75 per share in the year-ago period. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.85 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenue for the latest third quarter was $107.80 million, compared to $95.84 million in the previous year quarter, while three analysts had consensus revenue estimate of $104.98 million for the quarter.

For fiscal 2013, the company anticipates GAAP earnings in the range of $3.37 -$3.42 per share, adjusted earnings of $3.61 - $3.66 per share, and total revenue of $407 million - $412 million. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $3.25 per share on revenues of $412.88 million for fiscal 2013.

Earlier, the company expected GAAP earnings in the range of $3.07 to $3.15 per share, adjusted earnings of $3.37 to $3.45 per share and revenues of $4.07 million to $4.15 million.
