Macrovision's FLEXnet Publisher Solution Selected by Thermo
Global hardware and software organizations across all industries-- such as life sciences, manufacturing, electronics, healthcare andautomotive -- are migrating towards a more software-centric businessmodel to add value to and differentiate their products. By automatingtheir licensing models, companies can benefit from electroniclicensing, entitlement management and electronic updates. They canmanage their business more effectively and respond faster to marketchange and customer requests.
Thermo will implement Macrovision's FLEXnet Publisher across allof its informatics products.

FLEXnet Publisher allows users access to product components thatare most applicable and beneficial to their responsibilities. Andbased on metrics that are defined in the licensing agreement andenforced electronically by FLEXnet Publisher, customers will be ableto track how much and how often a product is used by individuals orgroups. Additionally, customers will be able to quickly log into anapplication, whether just once or multiple times daily, and do it justas seamlessly whether they are across the hall from their central labor across the globe.
By having the flexibility to easily access applications from anylocation, Thermo's customers can monitor their internal usage ofThermo's products, track their own entitlements more effectively andcapture audit trails of product usage -- all of which will help thembetter comply with FDA mandates.
