Long Term Shareholders Ron Gutstein and Scott Frisoli Respond to Election of New Keweenaw Board Member

Keweenaw Land Association, Limited ("KEWL") shareholder Ronald S. Gutstein commented today on the appointment of Mr. Frederick J. (Rick) Weyerhaeuser to the Board of Directors. Mr. Weyerhaeuser will occupy the seat of retiring Board member Mr. David E. McDonald.

"I am thrilled to have an individual of Mr. Weyerhaeuser's caliber joining our board. I expect his industry knowledge and expertise should have an immediate impact on the value of our Company. I hope that his appointment to the Board is a further step in an ongoing process that will help our shareholders realize the value that has long been present.
