This additional option has resulted in the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT C. Much of the excitement that the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT C provides starts with the vehicle's handcrafted 4.0-liter V-8 engine. This biturbo motor utilizes two turbochargers to churn out an impressive 550 horsepower and 502 lb.-ft of torque. The V-8 engine, along with the vehicle's AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sport transmission allows the AMG GT C to accelerate from zero-to-sixty miles-per-hour in just 3.7 seconds. Drivers also have four unique transmission settings to choose from with the vehicle's DYNAMIC SELECT controller: Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and RACE.

In addition to the engine and transmission, the 2018 Mercedes-AMG GT C has a number of other great enhancements that shoppers won't find on their typical sports car. This includes the active rear axle steering system, which will turn the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the front ones when the vehicle is going below 62 mph and with the front wheels when going faster than 62 mph. The fabric soft top that is being introduced on the Mercedes-AMG GT C is weight optimized and can be opened or closed in approximately 11 seconds. The top can also be put up or taken down at speed of up to 31 mph.
