Liberty Global Revenue Edges Down

(RTTNews) - Cable company Liberty Global plc (LBTYA, LBTYB, LBTYK) on Tuesday reported total revenues of $4.57 billion for the second quarter, a slight decline from $4.6 billion a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated revenues of $4.53 billion for the quarter.

At the company's key Liberty Global Group, revenue was marginally down at $4.3 billion, hurt by a stronger dollar, largely offset by the inclusion of Ziggo and, to a lesser extent, organic revenue growth.

At the end of the quarter, Liberty Global Group provided its 25.7 million unique customers with 52.9 million subscription services ("RGUs") across its footprint of 48.6 million homes passed in Europe.

The company on the whole recorded Organic RGU3 additions of 138,000 in second quarter.
