Lannett Results Surpass Estimates

(RTTNews) - Lannett Co Inc (LCI), a maker of generic pharmaceutical products, on Monday reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $33.9 million or $0.91 per share compared with $23.5 million or $0.64 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $99.3 million compared with $80.6 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.86 per share on revenues of $97.6 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Gross margin improved to 72% from 69% last year.

For the full year 2016, the company expects revenues of $425 million to $435 million, while analysts expect $433.6 million.
