KYOCERA Unimerco Announces Joint Venture with Turkish Company Bilginoglu Endüstri
After almost 20 years of working together, Kyocera is joining forces with the Turkish industrial enterprise Bilginoglu Endüstri as part of a joint venture. With a sales target for the middle term of approximately EUR 10 million, the joint venture will be established in Istanbul along with a logistics center. A Technical Center will also be established in 2016 to strengthen technical support for Turkish customers.
Trusted partners for almost 20 years
Bilginoglu Endüstri has been selling high-quality cutting tools, measuring equipment and foundry materials since 1973. It is headquartered in Izmir and has sales offices in Istanbul and Bursa. A new office is being set up in Istanbul, which will also house the joint venture in April 2015.
The Kyocera Unimerco Group opened its first representative office in Istanbul on July 1, 2014. The company’s presence in this major Turkish city sends a clear message that it aims to boost its involvement in the emerging economic region — not least by enhancing customer relationships at the local level.
"We believe that this joint venture will breathe new life into the Turkish cutting tools sector. We will blend Kyocera’s strong technology with our local experience to establish a successful and long-term relationship,” said Bilginoglu Endüstri President Ercan Bilginogullari.
"The joint venture with Bilginoglu Endüstri generates new synergies for both companies. That’s why we are putting greater emphasis on our goal of further expanding our market position in this strategically important economic region with very dynamic growth,” said Kyocera Unimerco President Senri Nagashima.
