Kulicke And Soffa Q3 Profit, Revenue Drop - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. (KLIC) Tuesday said its third-quarter net income fell to $25.0 million or $0.33 per share, including favorable tax benefits totaling $0.18 per share, from $26.62 million or $0.34 per share last year.

On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.17 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net revenue dropped to $164.6 million from $180.52 million. Analysts expected revenues of $166.25 million.

Looking ahead, the company currently expects net revenue in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2015, ending October 3, to be in the range of approximately $135 million to $145 million, due mainly to higher inventory levels throughout the semiconductor value chain and expectations for muted semiconductor unit growth. Wall Street expects revenues of $187.93 million for the quarter.
