Kronos awarded contract from the City of Montreal to implement workfor

    CHELMSFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 16, 2005--As an integral part of a city-wide initiative to automate and streamline daily processes, the City of Montreal has selected the Workforce Central(R) suite from Kronos(R) Incorporated (Nasdaq: KRON). Workforce Central will assist the city in simplifying and reducing the costs associated with the time management of more than 25,000 city employees.
    The initiative is part of the city's "SIMON" program to automate all systems to create a streamlined and fully integrated finance, HR, and supply system. The city will benefit from consolidating time collection and verification into one common point of entry with one central database. The Kronos scheduling solution will help ensure employees are performing the right tasks at the right place for the appointed time.
    Kronos' market leadership, coupled with strong local support and feature-rich solutions that reduce the need for customization even with a very complex and diversified workforce, all contributed to the city's selection. Upon completion of the project, all city employees will use Workforce Central's self-service functionality to manage their time and verify vacation balances. The software will be available to employees in French.
