Knowles Q2 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Knowles Corp. (KN), a market leader and global supplier of advanced micro-acoustic solutions and specialty components, reported a second quarter net loss of $16.1 million compared with a net loss of $78.9 million, one year ago. Loss per share was $0.19 compared to a loss of $0.93. Non-GAAP net earnings was $7.3 million or $0.08 per share, for the second quarter of 2015.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $0.07 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenue was $240.9 million compared with $281.0 million, last year. Analysts expected revenue of $250.63 million for the quarter.

In the third quarter of 2015, Knowles expects revenue of $285 million to $305 million; and non-GAAP EPS of $0.07 to $0.15. The forward looking guidance for the quarter ending September 30, 2015, which excludes the impact of Audience's expected results, are: revenue in the range of $275 million to $295 million; and Non-GAAP EPS in the range of $0.25 to $0.33. Analysts expect the company to report earnings per share of $0.28 on revenue of $290.66 million.
