Kennametal Names Michelle R. Keating Vice President, Secretary And General Counsel

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Kennametal Inc. (NYSE: KMT) announced today that its board of directors has elected Michelle R. Keating as vice president, secretary and general counsel effective immediately.

In this role, Ms. Keating will be responsible for global legal operations, ethics and compliance and serve as the secretary to the company's board of directors.

Keating joined Kennametal in 2010 and previously served as assistant general counsel and assistant secretary responsible for the company's SEC and NYSE compliance, corporate governance, legal director of global mergers and acquisitions, subsidiary management and commercial contracts.

Prior to joining Kennametal, Ms. Keating served as contract manager at WESCO Distribution. She holds a bachelor's degree from Westminster College and her juris doctorate from Duquesne University's School of Law. In addition, Keating previously served as a member of the board of directors of Kennametal India Limited.
