Kemira launches innovation challenge at Slush Helsinki 2015

Kemira is participating in the "Slush evening for circular & clean solutions" held at Kokoustamo, Messukeskus in Helsinki on November 12. In the event, Kemira will launch a challenge relating to its market-leading water chemicals business.

Kemira's challenge is targeted to start-ups, hackers, IT companies and other innovative minds, calling for novel ways of utilizing intelligence in Advanced Water Treatment. "We serve municipalities and water-intensive industries throughout the water cycle, enabling them to adapt to tightening regulatory requirements and shift towards circular economy. But we could do more. We could combine our application knowhow and chemistry with data and intelligence to bring more value to our customers. This is a great opportunity to work together with agile and creative partners on new innovative solutions. We are really looking forward to the event and the collaboration opportunities it may initiate," says Antti Salminen, President of Kemira's Municipal & Industrial segment.

Winners will be awarded with a "Water journey with Kemira", which will open new doors for collaboration for the submitters of the winning idea.

The event is hosted by Sitra and organized in cooperation with Lahja Itämerelle ry, Finnish Water Forum and Nordic Innovation Accelerator, LADEC.
