KEMET Corp. Q2 Income Rises 23%

(RTTNews) - KEMET Corp. (KEM) released a profit for its second quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $4.27 million, or $0.09 per share. This was higher than $3.47 million, or $0.07 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.02 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 13.5% to $186.12 million. This was down from $215.29 million last year.
