Juniper Networks Q1 Profit Meets Estimate

(RTTNews) - Juniper Networks, Inc. (JNPR) reported net income for the first quarter of $110.6 million or $0.22 per share, compared to $91.0 million or $0.18 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the first quarter was $142.6 million or $0.29 per share, compared to $123.8 million or $0.24 per share in the prior year quarter.

Net revenues for the first quarter rose 10% to $1.17 billion from $1.06 billion in the same quarter last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.29 per share on revenue of $1.15 billion for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to the second quarter, the company forecasts revenue of $1.20 billion to $1.23 billion and adjusted earnings of $0.36 to $0.39 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.36 per share on revenue of $1.21 billion for the second quarter.
