(RTTNews) - JDS Uniphase Corp. (JDSU) Tuesday said fourth-quarter income was $92.5 million, or $0.38 per share, compared to net loss of $22.2 million or $0.10 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter was $30.4 million or $0.13 per share, down from $35.4 million, or $0.15 per share per share in the year-ago period. On average, 15 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.13 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues totaled $421.3 million, down from $434.0 million last year, while fourteen analysts expected revenues of $430.59 million.
