JA Solar Q2 Loss Narrows - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (JASO) reported that its second-quarter of 2013 net loss available to ordinary shareholders narrowed to RMB 138.77 million or $22.61 million from RMB 457.82 million in the year ago quarter. Loss per ADS was RMB 3.58 or $0.58, compared with loss per ADS of RMB 11.69 or $1.91 last year.

Net revenue in the second quarter of 2013 was RMB 1.6 billion or $258.1 million, a decrease of 12.3% from RMB 1.8 billion or $294.4 million in the second quarter of 2012.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.54 per share and revenues of $250.42 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total shipments in the second quarter of 2013 were 463.7 MW. This represents an 11.0% increase from 417.8 MW in the second quarter of 2012.

For the third quarter of 2013, the Company expects total cell and module shipments to be between 450 MW and 470 MW. The Company's full year guidance of 1.7 GW to 1.9 GW remains unchanged.
