J & J Snack Foods Reports 11% Retreat In Q4 Earnings

(RTTNews) - J & J Snack Foods (JJSF) reported earnings for fourth quarter that fell compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit totaled $19.83 million, or $1.05 per share. This was down from $22.19 million, or $1.18 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.22 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 2.5% to $259.77 million. This was up from $253.49 million last year.
